forgot to switch my filter back on a few times, guess my powerhead pointing at the surface has saved me.

Lol sorry to bring this back again, im still not entirely sure of not enough oxgygen being the problem as there are some tanks that even run without filters or have very weak/little flow, in any case, something bad happened and its sad but we won't fully understand the problem, as with most fish deaths

Just an other possibility? Has the heater cracked? Or has the filter wire or any of the other electric wires split in any part? It does seem odd all the fish died real quick with the filter off.

It has to be the oxygen issue or electrics.

Were you particularly heavily stocked? This would've been the pivotal factor where oxygen in the water is concerned I would've thought.
