I can post some pics of the one I have..but the one in the pic...I'm afraid has expired. That one was my friends (I bought him for her for xmas..although I was their primary care-giver for the most part). The one week (vacation) I left the care to her...he died :(.

You can look on my website (click the link that says BETTA BUNCH in my sig)....Sot is my Green BF...well he was a Turquoise and ended up a BF lol..go figure. Mao is the other one (he was my friends).

Now I'm curious -- oh the suspense! I'm practically on the edge of my seat!

i hope you win your bid!!

i decided to look on the site as you did, and wow some of those fish are goreous, but i notice they are from thailand etc...do they last well coming to north america from there?

i saw this one, and wow so goregous, but right now i think i will concentrate on my two and putting them into a tank before i get anymore.

but look at this fish

The auction doesn't end until later tonight *grrr*.....but so far no one but me has bid on the fish....I'm hoping no one else does lol (I'd like my bid to stay where it is  ).

Fish from Thailand do just as well as any other fish imo. I have several that I got off AB and they have done just fine..except when I got sick..course..none of them did so well with no one taking care of them :(.

but even with the travel? i was worried about my fish travelling when i moved about an hour and a half drive from where i used to live, mind you it is verrry hilly because i now live up a mountain...but they must be living so long in the bags (i'm assuming those vaccuumed sealed bags they come in) don't they get tossed around a lot?

Well your fish isn't shipped direct to your house from Thailand.

Your fish is put on a cargo ship/plane with a bunch of other fish.

They are shipped to the trans-shipper (a 3rd party individual).

Then they stay there for a few days to rest and re-coop.

The trans-shipper boxes them up and then they send them to you, you can pick over nite (usually done in teh winter) or priority.

I use Priority in teh summer and I have yet to have it take longer then 2 days for them to get to me.

Here's what they look like when they get to you (most of the time)

thanks so much! i think that as soon as i get this tank and get it up and running, when i figure it all out, and find space in my room for it i might look into getting another one, that woul dbe 3 for me. they are just very addictive. i enjoy it. hey better do this addictive rather than something horrible, right?

and another off-topic question, i saw in someones photo sand in the bottom, is having sand better than the gravel? or which is best? i think the sand looks really nice.
