Well, here's the last one. I didn't find a Wotan, but I found another little god for my betta set up. He is named Froh, which in Norse/Teutonic/Wagner Ring mythology is the god of Spring. He has a very interesting tale patter, which I found attractive, though his face is a little trollish. Sorry, I'm being so random today, but I bought the poor guy right before I heard about my poor goldfish, so I had to take care of him. Poor thing sat in a bag for an hour while I cried my eyes out.

Both Froh and Loge are really extroverted. Donner, however, is not that way and is slightly intimidated (showing his fear bands or bars). His color is good and he eats very well, but he just doesn't like getting involved in the bettas games. I will continue to monitor his progress, because he's a little too introspective for my taste.

Beautiful, beautiful fish! I love their names (and no you are not a geek, good gravy, I named my son after someone in Star Trek!! No Trekkie back talk from any of you! ) I love how you've planted their tanks too. I just finished my first divided tank and am trying for the same look.
As for the addiction...Bettas are like crack!

Which character did you name your son after? I'm a trekkie too, old school, though, not the new stuff. Will not get up, however, at 5am to watch Star Trek on Sci-fi, I'm not that bad.

Hmm, bettas named after Star Trek characters, an idea.....especially the Klingon names, which rock!

Man, I thought I was alone too, family would think I was nuts, good, I'm not.

Back to plants. I have Ludwiga, Lace java fern, Limnophila indica (Ambulia, kind of like cabomba, but doesn't require as much light), a very small pygmy anubia, and some micro swords in the foreground. Right now, I have 2.5 WPG, but I think I would feel better having 3wpg, so I'm going to go on a quest to find me some more light, and then buy me some more plants! I'd like to add some Wisteria, anacharis, and some crypts, cause I like 'em. I like my tanks densley planted, and this one looks a bit sparse to me.
