i got a 3 month old female guppy.

hi ive got a 3 month old female guppy with a dark black spot is it prego?

i saved her 3 months ago and kept her in a breeding net for 2 months and then my other adult female gave birth to 28 fry so i put the fry in a 5 gal tank and put the 2 month old guppy in there with them.

but because i havnt got a light in my 5 gal and she was gettin big i moved her to my 20 gal community tank and i can see a black spot do you think she has mated with the fry i had which are month and a half old?

if she does give birth she wont have many because she is small.

Right first of all, do you have any male fry, young fry developing into males cannot produce seamen yet so i dont see her getting preggy through fry

Second of all, Guppies normally always have a grvid spot, because it is not always a sign of babies, you can tell if you have developing fry through the size of her body and the size of the gravid spot, but guppies and sometimes swordies too, always have a grvid spot to show see has egg's ready to be fertilized and develop into young baby fry...

She is still young though, i dont think you have a preggy guppy there mate, just one getting ready to bear babies within her, think of it as a fishy female period
