Any updates on Leckles? How are his fins?

HIS DORSAL FIN IS GOING TO GROW BACK!!!!!

It is so huge already, it still looks slightly awkward and in an "L" shape rather than a triangle. I can't get pictures, he is still really shy. I only see him briefly before I turn on my lamp to wake up the other fishies and maybe twice other than that. I took out the thing he is hiding in in the picture above. I was worried that he'd somehow get stuck up there. (I know I worry too much, but I also have found dead fishies up there so, it was about time.)

His other fins are 100% grown back. I can't even tell which ones were gone. It makes me so sad to see the old pictures of him. I went back to walmart to complain or do something, I dont know why I was there honestly, but they had moved all the featherfins to their own cubical and there weren't even tags for other types of fish. I was so happy. I left a sticky note thanking the guy.

He probably thinks I am insane.

Wow so fish really CAN grow fins even if the main ray was destroyed.
I think his dorsal fin will become triangular once it finalizes growth. Or maybe he had it that way from the start.
X) That's one lucky catfish.

REALLY? They threw him in the trash can? Thats terrible. They are in for the money, not the pets or the happiness of the customers. Honestly if I ran a pet store, heck, if I even was the guy at walmart who sold me Leckles, and a fish of mine was dying and some kid wanted to /try/ to save it, I would give the pet for free. Better than suffering in a cage, infecting all the other fish, and getting drowned in a trashcan.
That is messed up. Terrible thing for anyone to witness.

Leckles is not shy anymore. He loves his tank-mates (kuhlis, Rosy barbs, and tiger barbs) and his cave that I created for him inspired by Dieses' caves. He is still camera shy. He waits for me in the morning at the front of the glass next to the place where I feed my Kuhli Loaches. Sometimes I even hand feed him because he wont let me drop the food before I place it.
He is my absolute favorite fish. I almost bought some baby synos at my LPS because he is such a great fish to have.

I went back to walmart the other day and they had put the fish back into the tank with the synos. They weren't being aten alive so I decided to not ask the guy to move them again, but still made me a little sad. I'll check up on them again later. These guys are babies too. D:

Catfish are so funny, they eat out of your hand. I find them braver than other types of fish. My hoplo lets me pet him whenever he comes at the top.

I dont think that the main ray grew back, but it does stand up straight and go towards his body every now and then. Idk
That is so cute. I love that fish can do that.

I even talked to one of the workers there and she told me that no one cares about them. she tried to get the other employees to care, but after a while she said that she had to desensitize herself to them because no one would take care of them. She is the only one there that will humanely dispose of a fish when needed to. all the others just let the fish suffer.

Yeah, I find catfish the cutest out of all fish. Their whiskers are funny. Plecos are nice too, but I don't find them as cute.

Hmm... get hired at the shop and take care of the synos! X))

I'd work there if I could... In fact, I'd work anywhere provided that my ego isn't scratched. And no, cleaning toilets or mopping floors isn't what would scratch my ego, I'd do that any time, if only the positions weren't taken already.

Well, plecos are cats too, but I love catfish with fewer whiskers, around 4-6. I am limited to keeping 1 hoplo though, no big tank for a Syno, else I'd have one already.
