Aww! Those big puppy eyes! He is adorable! Looks quite good (except for that pink spot on top), I think he has high chances of full recovery.

Yeah I love his puppy eyes. Everytime I walk into the room, he swims up next to the glass and and follows me with his eyes no matter where in the room I go. The pink spot is where the other fish were eating him from. He also has only one front fin and the other is very chewed up, almost less than 1/3.

yeah about that... I'm unsure.
I have a tank, but it has barbs in it and I dont know how they will take to a disabled fish that can't swim too well. Right now I am honsetly thinking of getting a new tank where I can put community fish in that wont try to eat him, or maybe just even get him a tank for himself, just a slightly bigger one. He is in a 1 gal tank right now.
I dont know. i guess I'll have to play it by ear once the time comes.

Well, the fin might grow back (though I only once had a fin problem when a betta tore off one of my catfish's back fin and it grew back in about a week). The back, I'm not sure. I never had fish with injuries like that. Closest would be some crucian carp that a friend gave me, which had half of its top lip torn (probably by the fisherman) and that never reconstructed itself but it healed somewhat. If Leckles will be healing fast, I think he will only have a scar there, some memory of what he's been through, unless it's really bad and he starts trying to scratch it off.

I've been having some unknown thing going on in there, so i'm not adding him until I know that both him and my other tank are okay.

I don't think Leckles is a BN Pleco.
I thought he was a Synodontis.
Was I wrong? we were just looking at pictures on the internet for something that looked like him.

Well, i'd take it as a body-part wound so it will not grow back but should cover up with a scar that will be colored just like the fish (like one of my crucian carps did), thus causing the catfish no problem. I'd say fins are the easiest to grow. Even the guppies that were attacked by bettas grew the tails back quick, not just the catfish's backfin. But meat chunks like the back would take quite a while to heal (i'd say about 1 month for full recovery if no infection occurs).

Well I didn't word it right, since fins are body parts too, but you get the idea. At least he's not going to be having trouble swimming after it heals. I just hope the fin will regenerate fast. How bad is the fin damaged? If it still has the main ray, it should surely regenerate.

No he doesn't have the main ray. When we got him and were looking on the internet for what sort of fish he was we doubted that he was a Synodontis because they have dorsal fins and Leckles doesnt.
It looks like the other fish just decided to start nipping at him and that was the spot where they choose.
