I Can't Decide!

Well done, Khanna, hopefully he has done what he said!

Thank you! And I hope so too- I really want to go down there and see exactly what has happened but I'm afraid I'll find everything like it usually is.

Oh, my goodness.

A few minutes ago I got a call from the manager at my local walmart. He actually walked down there himself and checked it out and cleaned everything out- I can't believe this! He promised that it won't happen again (though the cynic in me says otherwise) I cannot believe they took into account what I wrote. Wow. I am truly impressed, and I hope that it opened their eyes to the treatment of these fish.
Yay! Go you!

Well done

Stage two is to write a small leaflet for people to take home with their Bettas, so they know how to look after them :)  Also, dispel the myths about how they live, you never know Walmart may even read it

My motto is, do not get cross, educate, then there is no excuse

I like RCA's idea to make a pemphlet about Bettas! I believe most people would rather know from the start what the best equipment for them is, rather than wasting their money on those awful, totally useless little Betta"habitats", then watching their children's hearts break when their little pet dies, or spending more money on meds they don't need!

Actually, I believe there is something all of us can do.

Why don't we set up a petition on change.org to ask walmart to stop selling bettas? If we all sign it and ask our friends to sign it, that'll be a huge start.

I'd sign it!

Thanks for your support, I will try and draft something when I have finished some work that is due.

In the meantime I have set up a new Topic for us all to input into this, called Leaflet on Betta Splendens and How to Keep Them.  Please can all of you who wish to drive this change contribute to this so that I have something to work with.  Of course I have a number of ideas in my head, yet want to do this in consolidation with you all, as I do not know about other markets other than what I have seen/read.

Well done Khanna on what you have achieved so far, and look what it has started, a Betta care revolution hopefully :)
