I went to petsmart to get some platys I asked them to give me 2 females and 1 male. Well they gave me 3 males. They are already in my tank though. Now the male platys in my tank will dominate and cause stress to the females, since now after they gave me 3 males I have 6 males and 3 females  . I dont know what to do since I dont think petsmart will take them back, I got them today. What do you think I should do :dunno: ?

they always give me tons of males when I ask for females as well

if you have your reciept, call them and let them know what happened and your on your way back. its best to do it now.
its happened to us as well. we'd gotten kissing gouramis that turned out to be a frickin convict chiclid o_0 and too many times we'd purchased otto's that turned out to be siamese algae eaters (or something)

take them back today. there's no reason they shouldn't do a trade. it was their messup not yours!

ok thank you at least I know its not just me now. I am going to call them in about 5 minutes or so. If they will do it, which I hope, I am going to take them back this afternoon and bring my receipt. But what should I bring them back in

yeah they are except usually at the one I went to they are sometimes ok with stuff like this, but it seemed like this guy didnt know what he was doing. What should I take them back in?

i occasioly have some probs with them too.....once i had bought 3 ottos and guppy and i put them in quarantine and 1 oto died in few hrs and the other in a few days and the manager tried to tell me there is no need to qarantine there fish(*cough* my ass *cough*) and they dont have to give my money back since i didnt bring a water sample....so now i only buy fish when i dont see that manager there

But, what type of container should I take them back in? And I was thinking of getting dwarf coral platies anyone every heard of them? They look really interesting and they are pretty small, but I guess they are not small enough to be eatin by a molly since they have them with them. Does anyone have any info on them at all? Like are they pretty easy to breed, and stuff like that

ive seen the dwarf platies before....they r probly like the rgular ones....put them in the bag u broght them home in or a large zip lock bag

use the bag, or just get a clean tupperware container with a lid. as long as its clean, and you havent used strong cleaning fluids in it. you know, no bleach, no amonia stuff. just a food container thats clean. i've seen people bring in blue goruamis in fresh ziplock bags. :D

just got off the phone with petsmart they said they will take them back or do an exchange, so I think I will put them in a large zip lock bag
