Fish Herder
Ever since I was little I always loved animals. My parents got my cat toonses before I was born and he is still alive and thriving at an old age. When I was little my dog cloe died of cancer and ever since we have never had another dog which is hard.
I always loved fish! But I was not aloud to have a fish tank no matter how much I wanted one. Oh how much I craved a fish tank or pond. My nana a papa have a pond and I always loved playing in it. He has trout and a couple huge wild catfish that he put in a long time ago. When I was 4 I would always try to dig holes and put leaves on the bottom and put water in it for a pond. The leaves were to try to stop the water but it never worked. I always wanted a fish tank but my parents always said no. My inspiration was my friend Vanessa. She had a betta in a vase and her mom had said that they were really easy to take care of. So I bugged and bugged my mom and finally she said okay and we went to our local lfs (Horrible place. Bad info, bad treatment of animals ect.) and my dad wanted to get a 10 gallon instead. We ended up buying 11 goldfish(OMG I still cant believe it ), 3 cherry barbs, and a male betta. Horrible horrible horrible. But I was only 9 at the time and had no clue. Then we got a 2 gallon tank and had 1 black moor goldfish, 2 tiger barbs, and a chinese alage eater in it. Clueless clueless clueless. But then we got the 29 gallon. It was horrible in the begining but then I pulled myself together and did research after research till I knew more than the workers of petco and petsmart put together. I did tons of water changes and rearanging in the tank. Now it has been crystal clear for a year and have had no fish die since then either. I am so proud of myself. I know have even more tanks that have been a big success.
Know would you like the list of animal I have? Okie dokie here it goes...
Kitties:
1 Maine Coon kitten (Adorable little fluff ball)Saphire(or little one)
1 black and white cat that I saved from a abusive family who did not take care of him well at all and he was amaciated. Sammy!!!
1 black cat that my parents adopted when he was a kitten and now he is 16 years old. Toonses!
Guineas!!!:
1 pure breed Abyssinian. Abby
1 Abyssinian/Teddy mix. Ginger
1 pure breed white crested. Roby
Rabbits!!!:
1 Rex/something or other, possibly dwarf. Her names Rose.
1 Mini lop named charlie!
Hamster!!!:
1 dwarf hamster named munchkin
Fish tanks:
2 gallon
10 gallon
salt water nano
29 gallon
30 gallon
55 gallon
Now that is a heck of a lot of animals to clean once a week! Part of my saturday is devoted to that every week. Huge seperate cages for the rabbits, and smaller ones for the guineas. The hamsters is not that hard though. The cats are the best friends a girl could have! Toonses is my brother, sammy my son, and saphire my niece. They all are part of the family, even the fish! All my fish are named and it would take awhile to right them down. Half of the fun is taking care of my animals!!!!!
It is nice having a big house!!!
