I am a bit worried

Hey all, As you might have known, my tank had ich, which I got medication for. Well I came home last night and noticed 3 fish in the corner. I opened the lid and put food in and they were all lively and swimming around the tank. They were like that till I went to bed.

But my question is, could the medication be bothering them? I checked all the levels and the nitrites were 0, ph was around 6.5. So could they be sleeping or resting? I just want to know as I am a little worried

meds do affect fish behaviour. anytime you change their environment fish will react in different ways. This is a common behavior to a change in environment. HTH

try raising your temp around 28 C-30 C for a week or so and this would take care of ICH.. Med would kill some of your bacteria and could cause either an ammonia spike or a Nitrite spike, maybe that's why your fish are acting weird....

I wrote an article a while back concerning a little gadget calledan ozoneator. It was not too expensive and kills every microscopic organism dead. The water was "super clean of micro organisms".
May be worth hunting it down at your lfs. Since installing this little unit into the aeration line I have never used any meds. This has been in now for some 5 years.
