Swiming in a pond. ...no, not really.
My school isn't known for it's kindness. In fact, besides one of the neiboughing city's High school, we're the worst. It never stops to amaze me how cruel my classmates can be, but they reached an all time low yesterday.

I was in biology class, and of course, we where doing busy work. One of the popular groups had formed one table over from me, and where laughing and everything. Well, I hear them say 'You know what would be funny? If we put a fish in a blender!'. The entire table starts laughing, and I of course get furious. I really, really hate my classmates.

But the adults are just as bad, I learned. The main office has a blue VT betta in one of those vases with the peace lily. I asked for the owner of said fish, and told her that fish was not happy. He was floating around the top, laying there. She said to me 'I've had him four years, and another like him at home. They're alive, arn't they?' I shook my head and tried to explain that even though he's alive, he's miserable. But then my mom came to pick me up. I left some printed material on how to propperly take care of them, but I'm not sure if she listened. The fish is gone, and I've heard nothing about it.

welcome to the real world

if people don't make money from it and it doesn't affect them directly, they just don't care. Get used to it because the whole world is like that with the exception of a few select individuals.

shame too say it but this is how people are :(
if you suggest killing THEIRE fave animal theyd have a fit.
its the way people are!
its a matter of dont get your self wound up.... keep cool and walk away :(

Make a Giant Vase and slap her in it, butter the lip so she cant escape.

Years later ask her; Are you happy?

Stupid people. With a bit of luck she may just have taken it all in..

How can people think thats the way to keep something living no quality of life whatsoever..

I'm guessing the fish in your signature aren't really kept in vases then lol

I think I just had a small epiphany. It seems like the people who take the worst care of their bettas end up with their fish living the longest, and I think I just figured out why. I bet it all has to do with the temperature- at a low temperature their metabolism slows down, so you would expect a betta kept at a lower temperature to live longer. That's really sad, because it just encourages people to continue keeping them that way- after all, it lived for four years!
