What is an o.k for dogs that is not meant for dogs?

Here is a list of some of the things we have fed Lola in the past while travelling.

- Animal crackers

- small amount of pretzels

- Bread crust

- Non acidic fruits (apples, grapes)

- little peices of bologna

- licking the can of tuna

- pieces of toast

- melted vanilla ice cream

- Ice cubes

Here is a list of himan things Lola eats. Tell me what is good for her and what is bad for her. The bologna is an occasional food just to let you know. She hardly eats it.

Also, any suggestions of other things she can eat from humans? I would like to know for when we travel.

no onions or chocolate. otherwise, while the stuff in the list aren't exactly nutritious for her, they shouldn't harm her (may give her the runs but nothing serious). the animal crackers should be okay (there are some dog treats out there that are very similar in their ingredients), pretzels fine (my dog eats them off the end table all the time when i'm not watching her, little sneak), bread crust fine, apples and grapes fine (mine dog LOVES grapes, try freezing them sometime and give her one) and many dogs also love the baby carrots (good for teeth), the bologna is fine but too much could upset her stomach (ie. the runs), same goes for vanilla ice cream (please don't ever feed chocolate), tuna is okay but licking the can could have cut her tongue so be careful, and ice cubes are perfectly fine (great in the summertime too) my dog always eats them.

my schnauzer used to eat popcorn all the time. never hurt her. suppose if its buttered it may be too rich for the dogs system but shouldn't make it real sick. just be careful it doesn't choke on it.........

but just remember, human food is okay if you occasionaly drop somthing on the floor and they get to it before you, but really, dogs should eat dog food (though the occassional egg or meaty treat or carrot is okay..........)

No xylitol either.. It's more toxic than chocolate. (Xylitol is used e.g. in candies, gum...)

dogs can eat tons of human foods. but choclate and butter is a definate no no. i wouldnt feed ur dog cheese, itll give em major gas  but sometimes they can have to much human food and throw up.
