Right my female cory died 2 night ago and i don't know why.
The only things that changed was she had a small case of ich so i was treating that the same as i treated it last time. I seperated her because she was the only one with ich. Raised the temp to 27c because i have been told on here that's the only real high temp a cory can take? I found her dead but not floating. She hadn't been dead long because she was still sunk to the bottom and the very morning of the day i found her she was looking great, alot better. I haven't had the time to post this so i finally got round to it. I was wondering can pop eye, cloudy eye, gill flukes, skin flukes, fin rot and ich develop within one day and kill a fish in that time? When i found her she had fin rot, skin flukes, gill flukes, pop eye, cloudy eye, ich, missing scales, faded colour and missing barbels! How she got all these i don't know!

Any help is welcomed! The tank she was put into was cycled for 3 weeks before i put her in. The stats for both tanks were ammonia - 0ppm, nitrite - 0ppm, nitrate - 5-10 and PH - 6.4. All other fish are fine to this day and are healthier than ever!

ive never had a dead fish float....

how do you know it had all of those symptoms? things like flukes can only be seen under a microscope using a gill scraping. also if a fish is in a shared tank with other fish and 1 gets ich then its more than likely the whole tank has it. seperating a single fish with ich is pretty pointless and the whole tank should be treated instead as its very contageous.

do you have any pics of the cory?

if raising the temp to try and speed up the ich cycle then it needs to be set at 30 degrees for a few days with plenty of water changes and substrate cleaning. what did you treat the cory with and what dose?

what other fish are in the other tank it came from?

It was in a guppy and cory tank.
All the other fish are fine. They don't have ich or any of the other things.
The things i thought were flukes may have been a few raised scales then.
was treating with protozin by waterlife. This is what i treated with last time. 3ml on the 1st day to the 6th then on the 7th water change. Or that's what i was going to do but she died.
I know she had all those because her fins were white around the edges and very badly rotted. The pop eye is obvious, same with cloudy eye. Her colour was very faded, putting it simply she would have looked better as a ghost fish! Missing scales is very obvious. Can't answer in much detail cause i gotta go to school! No pics sorry.

If you are absolutely sure that the cory had Ich, the odds that your other fish in the main tank have not been infected is remote...

29/30C (84/86F) is more effective at speeding up the cycle of the parasite and then killing the masses of released spores before they find new fish host(s).

How big was the quarantine tank you were adding 3ml of Protozin to? That doseage is for a 45l tank, proving the tank was "cycled" and had an oversize filter.

Protozin of the correct doseage for the tank should be given on days 1;2;3;6 only.

The tank she was put into was 15 gallons.
It was cycled and had a very over sized filter.

I only got to day 2 anyway and all other fish are perfectly fine. No signs of illness or anything.
