I have asked this question before, but never got a clear answer.

Currently one of my two danios is HUGE. I mean HUGE. Both of my danios are about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.54 to 3.84 cm) long and are medium sized(not small, but not large). The one HUGE danio has this big, belly if you will, that seems to come and go. I have no clue what sex either of the danios are. I have tried more frequent water changes and feeding less, and it seemed to work for a while and the 'belly' would come back. Currently it is so HUGE that the belly is bigger than the other danio and it swims like one of those big, oddly porportioned goldfish. If I had to guess it is like 1 to 1.5 inches (2.54 to 3.84 cm) in diameter. Is this pregency or a disease or what? Is there anything else I should be trying? Help me before the belly bursts!

Thanks a bunch,

nothing to worry about.

It is a female, and when it has the belly there are eggs, when it doesnt they have been layed.

Unfortunatly, I don't have a way to post it right now. I wish I could, for it would make it so mush easier to see.....

Are they fertlized eggs? Or are they 'blanks'? Does this allow me to believe the other danio is a male?
