Hi everyone,
I wonder if you guys can help,i have a 150Litre community tank with a mixture of fish and a while back i noticed small plattie fry swimming around so i managed to get all of them ( i think) and put them in a breeding trap, they have all survived and are now swimming in the main tank no problem as they are large enough not to be eaten. This scenario keeps repeating itself and i am finding the tank starting to be getting taken over with them. It's not that i dont want them because as a novice i am chuffed they are breeding, some people at work have offered to take some from me so i know they will go to good homes. I have been told that if i turn the temperature down in the tank that this will cure the problem. It was sitting between 74 and 76 degrees, whats the best temperature for the tank?, the other fish are corys neons, glow light tetras, tiger barbs and gouramis.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim.
