How To Sex Bristlenoses?

I am wondering how to sex bristlenose. Do females have no bristles or just a few?

I'm pretty sure, someone correct me otherwise, that the females have bristles but are just shorter. The males get quite long.

Males have a lot of bristles right up their noses, females can have bristles but just around the lip. They can be acurately sexed once they hit about 2.5-3"
