setup is like this:

tank - pump - tap - sediment filter - water polisher - Tap - fluid bed - fluid bed - uv - co2 - tank

Left side of filter:

right side of filter:

Currently i am using the second tap to adjust flow of water into the fluid bed filers. It seems to work well but the problem i am getting is that the pump starts to heat up and gets alot noisier due to the back pressure.

i need to eleviate that back pressure some how.

ANY IDEAS?

What i am thinking of doing is putting a " T" Piece after the water polisher and put 2 taps on it. One to the fluid bed filters and one back towards the start of the filter setup loop.
Where would i plum the second tap back into?
do i plum it to just after the first tap?
Or do i plum it back to the pump intake?

The reason im not sure about pluming it back after the first tap is that if the filters start getting a bit blocked water likes taking the easy root will it bypass the filter?

Well have u tried to introduce a `T` junction with some valvs and use that to correct the flow i.e
Tank

valve (a)
|
tank - pump - `T` junction - valve (B) - rest of the filter

Valve a will stop too much water going to tank whilst valve b controls the flow to the filter the problem is that ur only going to spreed the flow.

The other solution is that you swap the pump and why have u got so much stuff yah it's a bit tank but u could jus use 2 external filters and run the UV through one and the CO2 through the other.

The current set-up looks like something I'd use for filtering my tap water or water from the sewers. I hope it's not ur main filtration system
