How Quiet?...

Hi all...

so I'm seriously getting into this aquascaping lark (I don't even have my tank yet haha) but I have a "to scale" floor plan sketched out and an idea of how it will look in my head.

As it is going to go in my bedroom, I would like some stuff (like the airpump for the bubble wall) to be as quiet as possible - I dont want to be turning it off on a night and back on in the morning.

I've been looking at THESE mainly due to the bit on the front that states they're quiet. But I was wondering if anyone had any experience of these (or any other air pump) and just how quiet they are. I got an Elite 802 for my 48litre (it recommends that size on the box) and apart from it filling the entire tank with bubbles, it was SO noisy. I understand no airpump will be whisper quiet, but one that doesn't sound like an aircraft is trying to land in my room would be nice :p

So, any suggestions?
Willow

I have 2 tetra whisper pumps that are very quiet if they aren't touching anything like a power cord. Mine are recommended for less than 20 gallons. I don't know if the bigger ones are louder. I think any should be good as long as they don't touch anything. I've found that pumps where the entire bottom sits on a table are noisier than ones that have 4 rubber feet on a table and the pump not touching the table.

I only have a relatively small airstone, the tank is in my room and I wouldn't be able to sleep if I left it on at night.
