I think you get best image when you go to the nearest lfs and ask them to show, how RO works. It's hard to explain.

i change my water every 2 weeks and about 25% and every month i clean the sand.

10% every week, for no reason other than the fish seem to like all the crap that gets stirred up, as the nitrates are always < 5ppm. Tapwater nitrates are 10ppm, then the tank brings it down over the course of a week.

I do a 30% water change every 7-10 days on all of my tanks.......from 10 - 55 gallons!!

Throughout the winter I would do them MAYBE once a month (LONG STORY PEOPLE) and they payed the price

I suggest TO ANYONE WHO HATES DOING WATER CHANGES WITH A PASSION to get themselves a python......it seriously has helped me out!!! B)
