How Many People Keep Small Fish In A Big Tank?

I currently have a 4ft tank, upgrading to a 5ft tonight. All I have are smaller fish except for my angel and rtbs, few dwarf gouramis and then its loads of cories and tetras etc. My plan for my new tank is getting it quite planted but it is going to take quite a while to fill it out with all the plants I want but I am hoping it will get there :)

My 120 gallon 6 foot tank is filled with peaceful community fish ranging from the biggest, an angel, to lots of tiny rasboras and red minors. I find that an eclectic mix of different sizes adds to the decorative value of a tank. Other tanks I have with single species include a 45 gallon endlers tank, a 29 gallon tank with Characodon lateralis, a 40 gallon long with Ameca splendens in it and similar arrangements.

50g with 25 Cardinals and some Honey gouramis and cory's. None will get over 2".

Nothing better than big shoals of Cardinal's or Rummy's or most Tetra's for that matter.

James.

I've got a 150 gallon tub with neon orange swords & a bunch of spawning mops. My wife likes them, bought some at an auction, she's got a whole lot more coming up! I've got a group of green corys in with them, along with several horseface loachs.

I thought about this... Ive had a massive oscar in a 5ft tank AND WHAT A BOOOORE!!

I now have a 4ft n have baaaare tetra, rams, loads of small plec, corys n glass catfish.

THE WAY FORWARD IS LOADS OF LIL FIIIISH IT LOOKS FULL OF LIFE! (Which was the aim lol)

I have a 125gallon tank with mostly smallish fish in it. Some will get a lot bigger such as the BGK, Clown Loaches and the pleco, but the tank also homes tiger barbs, killifish and cories.
I would keep a school of some smaller variety fish in the tank, but I love my BGK and he/she doesn't need expensive snacks like that :p heh

The worst thing about small fish in a big tank - catching them! Haha! I had to get 8 out of my tank for someone to take last night and it must have taken an hour to catch just a few fish!

I dont know whether to count my tank as being big its 110L give or take. Its and upgrade from my old 60L anyways but my biggest fish is most likely my feather fin synodontis at 4" so yeah i prefer losts of smaller fish than a couple big ones.

Oi you lot with the big tanks and small fish.............photos please!
