Hi,
I just bought a new 60 gallon tank. I have a Eheim 2028 pro II that was given to me by my brother and i have a Fluval 304 and both are cycled.
My tank is fully stocked(will be when my fish are mature) and i've put in quite a few plants.
Are those 2 filters enough ? I used to have goldfish so i'm used to needing lots of filtration but not i have only tropical fish.
I have a spare fluval 4 plus, a fluval 104 and a filter that came with the tank(in the hood) that is supposed to circulate 260 gph. I could add any of those if i have to.

Do i have enough filtration with my 2 canisters?

Thanks

For the average tank it should be fine, though it depends on the fish you are stocking. If you have plecs or messy cichlids as a majority of the inhabitants you may want to consider a hob filter, as they do a better job of mechanical filtration than a canister.

You have it covered well for bio filtration with those two canisters.

Hi,
Most of my fish are Gouramis, do you know if they are especially messy ?
Thanks

Gouramis aren't that messy, you have a well filterd tank with that filtration & gouramis.

I have a 65 gallon stocked with 6 angels, a group of corys, & a bristlenose plec running a 2026 for filtration. This is a show tank in my living room, I love that filter. Quiet and gets the job done, while being easy to maintain in a room with white carpeting.

generally . . .i go by how many times it turns the water over . . .without going into bio & mechanical filtration, i say turning the water over about 3-5 times is good enough for most of the messiest fish . . . .but . . .i've only been doing this for about 4 years, so. . . . .i'm just saying roughly.
