there is a basic rule of 1inch of (adult size) fish per gallon of water, 125l is about 25 (uk) gallons i think so that would be 25 inches of fish, however best to be a bit conservative, the 'rule' is a bit debatable.

I goin to put a list of stocking up of what i want i know some basics of things but just to be sure,
im still none the wiser on how many,
most of my fish probably will be 2-4"
plus im wanting a plec

MOA's spreadsheet may be useful for getting an idea of what you can put in, but as with any on-line calculator, it won't be able to factor in mixing with accuracy (i.e. will these Tiger Barbs be OK with a Siamese Fighter. It will probably give no warning of the result of that one). I was putting an "intelligent" calculator together myself for an on-line calculator, but making it reliable was going to be difficult, to a point where I wasn't really prepared to go further than the simple Uni-project it became  Always run your stocking plans via a real human being ;)

It's fair to say that it will not be 100% accurate unless a large group of people have contributed to each species, even if the program does warn of compatibility issues  No matter how experienced the person behind the program, it's highly un-likely that they or someone in their first-hand experience will have tried every combination on the lists. This means some assumptions have to be made unless you have a larger than practical number of people behind your project. The fact that you the writer, or your helpers, will have made assumptions means there is likely to be errors unless you and/or your helpers have a perfect ability to predict the behaviour of living animals. This means that, while a useful tool, your tool is just that. It cannot be a substitute for asking real fife people for real life experiences with real life stockings, as it's theoretically compiled based on one or a few people opinions of what works. No doubt your program is very good at what it does (your right, I haven't looked at it, mainly as I cannot work out how your supposed to open it without reading that page in detail {I skim read parts of it before getting bored and moving off}) but no program of this nature is ever going to be 100% error free  Stocking is one of, if not the most complex part of a tank if your going communal IMO. While I like to think I know what I'm doing with stockings, I also know I don't know all of it and regularly find myself having to ask others myself, particularly if odd-balls are concerned

Having tried Fighters and Tiger Barbs back in the days when I was starting out in tropicals though, and knowing of a few others that have also tried it, I'd suggest you change your spreadsheets answer on that one to highly un-recommended (or it's words to that effect) as it is a very messy one IME
