how many fish in a

55 gallon tank.
i think that my brothers getting a tank for his 8th grade graduation and i was wondering how many cichlids can go in a 55g tank. we already have 1 bala, and 2 irredecents, and 1 angel fish that will go in there. i think hes getting rid of the sharks, but not sure. anykind of cichlids would be ok, except for really expensive ones. thanks

depends on what u consider expensive. i have a 29 gallon tank im gonna use on my fairy cichlids. their the Neolamprologus Brichardi. here they cost 12.99 but ive heard them getting down to 4.50. they wont eat their young and the kids will usually help their parents take care of the next batch. if there isnt enough room for the new batch the parents will eat them to make room.

i dont know about a 55 gallon though. u can keep like 24 (i think) in there and u can sell the older ones.

It depends what fish you are keeping as well as on filtration and maintenence.

it comes w/a whisper power filter. i know iw ant pink cons, and severums, maybe, some rams, angel fish and maybe a zebra, and kribs, not sure if A and NW mix though
