I got me a tank on order a lovely 360 eheim one which is be with me aorund x-mas time.

it wil be sand substrate with wood and planted.

Just wondering how many banjo cats would live hapily togther in a 48x20" tank?

there's about 7 at work and i was thinking of setting a 18x12" tank to house them all until my new tank arrives.

7 banjo cats will be fine together, they really dont do much and dont really mind how many of them are in one tank.
Just one thing though, they dont usually do well in tanks with aggressive or predatory fish as their only defence is burrying themselves so they can be quite limiting when housed in larger tanks.

Yay! Buy them all!

They're not very active and don't go around looking for trouble with other tankmates. Remember that juveniles prefer to hide upright in broad plant leaves, only the adults burrow under the sand, so make sure you have something like jave fern in there.

excellent!

jus to be annoying all of our banjos bury in the sand :p thats probable why you didn't see any there!!

the only thing is one of them is like 2-3inch and one of it's gills has been ripped open it seems, it seems to have healed up leaving a hole there, i'll try to get a picture.

Get them Get them.

They maybe Lazy Fish But I Like watching them Feed.

Little Trp Doors when Food goes Past, Epecially Bloodworms.

I Only Ever see Mine out of the Gravel in the Weee Hours. When all the lights have been off for a long time and i can see them from the Light Given off by the TV.

I Like the Way they Move around and You can pick them up and they don't care.

When they are out of the gravel they Use there Fins and Crawl Along the Sand.

Again

Get them - Get them - Get them

Don't worry I'm getting them all!!

i found out the history of the inhured one, apparently it's been there a while hence it's size compared to the others and it came in with a borken pectoral fin and thehead cracked open on the side, and it's been healing up ever since, his pectoral fin still don't move.

they had been treating it weekly with direct application cream for a while, it isn't infected after another look today.

I brought home a Moby Dick tank today stuck the sand in it only to relaise after that that there was a crack in the the corner so i;ll swap it over tomorrow and get it running then.

i have also finally started my invasion of the rest of the house with tanks, this one although small is going in the front room.....and my mum insists on having platties in there  i'ved said only the babies so hopefully the cats will eat some, my crabs havn't the dosy things!!

so i'll set it up tomorrow, stick some platties in there on Monday get it cycled and maybe get the cats next week or week after. depends what test results show and how many babies i kill off!!

i was also thinking of sticking convict fry in there from work and grow a few on for myself.
