How Many Assassin Snails

Hi all

I have a 38 gall tank, well planted out with a healthy stock of Red cherry shrimp, as well as the usual shoal fish and bottom feeding cory`s pretty normal setup.
Turn lights back on late one night and notice a loads of snails all over the place.
Took some advice and have bought 10 Assassin Snails to put in the tank. (late night drunken buy.....! )
After reading abit more they seem to breed Farley easyish and trying to sort a problem don't want to create another....

Question is how many should I put in for some reason 10 seems to many....! or is it...?

Ten is fine, don't worry. They don't actually breed as fast as other pest snails, you don't usually have to worry. I had a problem like this, and I put 1 in, it took him about 3 week to clear up the tank!
Next time I put about 8 in and it took about 1 week. So it depends how fast you want the snails out.

Hi

Not in a rush to clear the tank just want to create new problem I have the snails in a floating breeding pen just wanted to make sure these aren't going to take over the tank with them being allot bigger.
Will the Assassin Snails eat the plants if their is no snails to hunt....?
What will they eat....?
Do or should I feed them anything inperticular...?
