how long?

I have my new 2028 running along side my 303 how long will it take do you reckon to mature before I can remove the 303?

I've heard it will take less than a week if you stick a piece of media from the old filter to the new one. Don't take my word for it, I'm still a bit confused.

By taking half the media from the older filter and placing it in the new filter (replacing the used media in the old filter with new) then you will have both filters full populated with bacteria within a week.
