i know water quality etc etc will depend, but roughly how long, a month? or longer??

just wanted to know because i have some (although only 1 week old) and i brought a platy that was about 10mm and i risked putting it in my main tank, but it was fine, so i wanted to kno how long it would be (timewise) before i put the others in

they are normally about 5-6mm when born so they should hit 10mm in 3-4 weeks without any problems, probably sooner if they are really well fed. Newly hatched brineshrimp is the best food for them.

thankyou,
i have tetra fresh delica brine shrimps that come in a sachet (dont kno if youve seen them) but would that be the same sort of thing, at the mo i am feeding them liquifry 2 from interpet

if the brineshrimp are little tiny orange things then they are newly hatched and then frozen and will work well. If the brineshrimp are a pale colour then they are probably adult brineshrimp and don't have as much nutritional value.
Baby platies can be fed on microworms and powdered dry food as well.

many thanks :)

i fed them some of the brineshrimp last night that i mentioned in a previous post and i swear they have grown overnight,i lokked at them this morning and they were ALOT bigger!

The first week or two is when they grow the fastest. I also swear I can see a change from day to day on my endler fry and they start even smaller.
