How Long Should I Acclimate?

I just got 3 swordtails through the mail, they where shipped express. When they arrived the water was 70 degrees so I lowered the temp in my QT tank to 72, I understand I should increase it slowly. The PH of their water was 6.6 and my Ph is 7.6. So my question is how long should I take to acclimate them?

Maybe over an hour or so? Just go slowly. The Ph will be fine for them I think.

Dont acclimatise by temp only though ! Floating the bag only does the temp. You should add your water slowly to the bag they are in, over the period of an hour or so, until most the water is yours ! Then net the fish out into your tank.

Leave lights off and dont feed for 24 hours too if you can.
