hi. i have noticed my tank is getting more and more snails in by the day!!!

is there a easy way to remove them or should i just try to net them up?

i have read that some fish eat them so which type of fish is it and are they ok with my fish as i have:

neon tetras
danios
guppies
gourami
corydoras
pleco

any help will be excellent

I had the same problem in my tank. I added 3 zebra loaches and within a few days all the snails were gone

Most small loaches would be fine with your current fish.

I would be wary adding fish to deal with a snail problem. I'm not sure how well stocked you are which is something you would need to consider before adding fish to eat the snails. Also once all the snails have been eaten they will need feeding. Plus loaches are quite long lived, Clown loaches can live over 20 years and even small ones like pygmy chain loaches can live 15 years.

will the loach be ok with my other fish?

It would be better to buy the loach because that's a fsh you want rather than buying it to solve a problem that you've got.

See if you can get hold of some flubenol 15 from somewhere and that'll sort it without having to buy more fish.

I would highly recomend a few chain loaches. I have 3 of them in my 90 litre tank and they're fantastic. Don't grow very big and the snails don't stand a chance, plus they're very entertaining.

I have the same problem. Basically, whenever I see one, I get the ol' net out and it's gone!

You can use loaches, chemicals although i wouldn't reccomend it, or put a piece of cucumber/ lettuce in overnight then remove itt next day, you can buy snail traps similar to the garden ones, or just pick them out when they are at the surface.

Reduce your feeding to control the snail population. The more left over food they have the faster they breed.
