Thanks guys, and Brooke- it's just as it's spelt. Smar-ag-dina

Here's the best I can do as far as pictures go. But look at all the fry

wow kelly thats a whole ish load of fry at least im assuming the blackish mass of speckes is fry.
well done :D

Thanks, but I don't deserve any credit . He's doing all of the work, I have it made in the shade right now B)
Except I can't find anything to hatch my bbs in :( I don't want to use the coke bottles like I always have. I should have planned ahead for this, I've been combing the drink aisles of stores for the past hour

EDIT~ The most exciting thing about this spawn, aside from the wild factor, is that they won't need jarring.

lol yea the no jarring is def. a plus, with the mouthbrooders you dont even need to take the dad out:).

why not coke bottls thats what i use.

btw did you get my pm?

I'm sure I did, I just went in my PM box and apparently I've missed a lot. This crazy new board (which I love  ) doesn't let my PM's pop up...
But I'll go looking in just a sec

The coke bottles turned out such a low hatch rate, and I assume it's not enough water for the amount of shrimp I'd like to hatch....?
I have two splenden spawns planned this week so I'm going to need lots of BBS, it seems the coke bottles only supply enough for one spawn (and sometimes barely that much)
Right now I have them tumbling in a two gallon pickle jar, but they keep settling on the bottom :X

hmm, i have been having my own bbs dilemas as well, im trying to figure out how to hatch them and raise them outside to adulthood.

Yipes, good luck with that. I suppose you need to surf some sea monkey sites  But I think hatching is the largest hurdle, they should be fairly easy to raise ( I mean c'mon, they're sea monkies! Why are they being so difficult for us?!)

This time, instead of mixing my own baking soda/ salt water, I'm using pre-made marine tank water. So we shall see.

yea really. all they are is sea monkeys and whoever made them seamonkeys is very rich.

baking soda you say? whats that do?

Yeah, it seemed to help when I started, so I just kept it up. Just a teaspoon and a half per gallon.

This picture is corny, but comical. I barely turned the air on a couple of hours ago, and look at how he built bubbles around the tubing to stop the surface disturbance
