SORRY PEOPLE IM NEW I DONT NO HOW TO DELETE THESE EXTRA POSTS

Hi, we really need to know dimensions of the tank before we can give advice.

This is going to be a no go regardless of how big the tank is i'm afraid.

The two most commonly available herbivorous lizards are the Green Iguana (which grows to 6' and will require a small room of your house to itself) and Uromastyx (which are generally really quite expensive) species. Neither of which will live for very long if kept in a poorly ventilated fishtank instead of a proper vivarium.

I was thinking more of the other (I don't think there are any herbivorous amphibians - and as seedcantas says iggys get to big - don't know much about uromastyx, but I have a feeling most of them are omnivorous) If you wanted something a bit different a tank with giant millipedes and hissing cockroaches could be your cup of tea, stickinsects / leaf insects are nice and you can get numerous different sorts of them.

Is there any type of meaty foods you are happy to give your pets? If there is, you will probably get a lot more choice. eg. crayfish, lovely and interesting.

Oh yes, there is lots of herbivorous lizards and amphibians. You can for example do a google search on them. Good luck :D

Errrr. Or you could give us some examples of some herbivorous amphibians since it is a well known fact that absolutely ALL adult amphibians are obligate carnivores/insectivores.
There are really very few truly Herbivorous lizards, the ones previously mentioned are readily available in the pet trade but if you like I can list the approximate numbers and name the groups included for you.
~ 30 species belonging to the Family Iguanidae
16 species belonging to the Genera Uromastyx
1 species belonging to the Family Agamidae (only, Hydrosaurus pustulatus - The phillipine sailfin lizard)
and finally 1 species belonging to the Family Scincidae (The rare and protected Corucia zebrata - The monkey tailed/Solomon island skink)

I'm pedantic yes, but as has already been said, the topic starter really is limited to invertebrate pets of some kind in this case :)

well i would be very interested if someone could come up with a herbivorous lizard and even more interested in a herbivorous amphibian

i have 11 different species of amphibian and all eat insects ,i have 9 species of Lizard and they all eat insects.the only 2 herbivores i know of have been mentioned (Iggys and uros) neither can be kept in a glass tank
