Hiding Whois Info On Domains..

Does anybody know how you can stop registration information and billing addresses appearing when somebody does a whois lookup on a domain?

I don't like the idea of registering a domain, putting information on a site and having it leading you back to my home address via whois.

i dont think they can do that through who is
email you domain provider and askthem to hide it

It can be done. e.g do a whois on thewardconnection.co.uk (one of my domains). I would contact your domain registrar requesting that this information be hidden (the registrar obviulsy still have it on thier database)

Most registrars will let you do a private registration, where the registrar's contact information is listed instead of yours. It usually costs a little more, but not much.
