New aquarist here, I got a used 20 long tank in october and have set it up with plants, a cool stick, Zebra Danios, Cherry and Rili Shrimp, and some White Cloud Mountain Minnows. Long term plans are to add a few swordtails/mollies (I especially like the mottled orange/black ones) and possibly (???) some sort of dwarf pleco.

If you want a dwarf plecolike fish, there are sufficient ancisutrus species that won't get big.
