yes i tried to pm you, empty your inbox!

and we'd love to come over to AGA but don't think we can afford it right now after just getting married a carribean honeymoon and moving house - fair to say finances are a little stretched!

But I don't want to delete your PMs

Yeah, positively knew there'd be no way for another transatlantic for you guys but had to make the invite! So glad the two of you got to snorkle, remember me going on about that? Its an amazing experience for any fishkeeper, definately richer when you've already had the learning experience of your tanks.

I thought you died, we had a funeral and everything. We had cake!!

Hope you saved me some cake!

Yeah snorkelling made me and Ian realise how much we want to learn to scuba dive, I'm not sure if it's possible to make it a reality but I definately need to do some research into it. I'd need to get a bit stronger though, I was surprised how much power I've lost in my legs through my MS, I always used to be a really strong swimmer but not anymore. I also read something about the bends having some connection to MS so people with MS shouldn't dive - but I don't know how true that is?! Guess I need to find some diving fanatics to ask or something.

And anyway I flat out refuse to believe all your PM's are from me!

Go to the PADI site and order a book. I have the workbook that you go through for your first qualification (open water) lots of info. Maybe asking a doctor would be the best way to find out about how it relates to ms.

thanks, yeah i think i might ask my MS nurse when I next see her. there's a lot of physio to be done first though as I'm not confident in my swimming anymore. got really scared in the sea on honeymoon - tides were quite strong and I was struggling a bit.... felt much more comfortable in the pool!

yeah i was much better with the flippers than swimming independantly, it does make life easier and I'm sure it'd compensate for the extra weight of your scuba pack etc; but some days i can barely walk nowadays, got overtaken by a lady with a zimmer frame last week - it's not that bad everyday but my legs are really not great overall so I definately think there's some work to be done before I could consider it!

That's our wedding cake, it was chocolate with white chocolate on the outside. It was the most awesome cake I've ever eaten!!

yep thats all white chocolate on the outside with chocolate cake layerd with chocolate butter cream on the inside.... nummy!

Nice. Don't forget you don't have to work to move up and down, you have flotationstuff to offset your weight. Swimming is only for forward movement.

Obviously normal swimmingcomes in handy in an emergency...
