Hi all! I have been keeping a tropical aquarium for about a year now and am looking to upgrade my tank from a 120L to a 300L.

I currently own:

3 boeseman rainbows
1 red guinea rainbow
12 neon tetras
4 clown loaches
3 zebra loaches
3 coolie loaches
1 BN plec
2 chinese ae
2 bolivian rams
and 4 amano shrimp

Here are a few pics of my tank:

Ok. soo.

The tank I will be getting is a Juwel Rio 300. I will be running it with the internal filter included and a tetratec ex 700, it will be a planted tank with a pool filter sand substrate. I think I will be giving my CAE's back to the LFS due to them being really aggresive towards my other fish. When I eventually get the tank in a few weeks .

I want some big fish. so I am interested in these kinds. What is compatability like with the fish I allready have?

1 large plec (I want a nice expensive one) maybe a king tiger or a gold nugget. or something else.
3 bala sharks
1 Black ghost knife fish.
and 1 black veil angelfish.

WOuld this be allright for a 300 litre tank??

Thoughts? opinions?

something tells me, you wont get positive feedback with all those clown loaches in there! i know for a fact you need a huge ,huge tank for them,

and i dont reackon you would get away with the bala sharks either, sorry but fact ( i have 5 and they are very small but will need an upgrade very soon)

nice tank tho

Yeah Bala's and Clown Loaches arent very good. Bala's are big, and skittish. They stress out your other fish. CLowns are mean. Ghost are an even Bigger no no. They are big, mean, and will eat your other fish. I would go with more ram's and apisto's. I would also get lot's of livebearers. And maybe more tetra's. A pleco would be fine. But i would probably get a Gold Nugget. If you get angel's. I would get 4 to 6 and let them pair off. THey dont do to good on their own. And get babies so they get to know eachother. Take the other's back to the lfs when they pair off. Also, make sure your tank is cycled before putting them in.
