Hi There

Been browsing this site now for about 2 months lurking in the background as they say, well i have just upgraded from a 60 Litre Tropical Biorb to a 100 Litre Jewel Lido, fiitration is a Fluval 305, and heating is by a external Hydor 200 watt heater.

I have moved my current stock after a fishless cycle of a month, regular water tests were conducted by Maidenhead Aquatics, which is a solitary Red Claw Crab and 4 Amano Shrimps.

I have spent the last 2 months searching for that special fish but alas ive still not found it.

I thought id post a few images of my tank for you to have a look at, but i cant figure how to do it lol.

Hello & welcome to the forum. :hi:

At about 25 gallons, you are somewhat limited in what you can get as you don't want any fish that are going to out grow the tank. Unfortunately, most "center piece" fish will probably get too big. The other problem with that type fish is that usually, more peaceful fish need to be kept in groups while larger fish are generally more aggressive.

One other bit of advice or warning. You say you have a red claw crab and 4 amano shrimp. Most likely, the shrimp will eventually be a midnight snack for the crab.

Hi all thanks for the warm welcome.

Well the background is all plum slate, all individually glued in place with Black Glold Aquarium Silicone, i will say the background took over a month to complete. The tank has been through a bogwood stage, however the amout of seepage that i got from the wood wasnt worth the hassle, that too had been soaked for a month, water changed daily. I figured it was more hassle than it was worth so its now sat in the garage lol (anyone want it im in Swindon come get it).

As for the crab, hes been with the shrimp for the last year since he was in my Biorb, hes now found a new home behind the inlet and doesnt venture out that often, i have seen him venture out for the sinking food i use.

Any ideas on centre fish would be most welcome, however im not looking to rush into something that i will regret.
