Its about 20 yrs ago since I last kept tropical fish and things have changed quite a lot I have just bought a fluval roma 125 litre aquarium and just trying how to cycle it using ammonia,Ihave a U3 internal filter/black substate /heater and led lighting I have bought some prime water conditioner and a couple of tank décor I have filled it with water PH7-gh 17+ not done any other readings leaving it 24hrs before cycling temp is approx. 76f not decided what the contents are going to be,trying to refresh my memory of knowledge reading everything to do with fishkeeping looking forward to participating in things. thanks again routemaster.

Hi and welcome to the forum

The next time you are at the pet shop, make a list of fish and plants you like and post it here. We can go through it and make suggestions as to what might go with what.

If you can post the tank dimensions (length x width x height) it will also help.
