Hello there,

I'm Sean and I'm definitely on the Edge! I'm a (fairly) experienced fish keeper, but due to other commitments I've been out of the hobby for a year or so.

I decided I like the look of the fluval edge and decided I'd see what I could do with it - which is what brings me here!

I've had my ups and downs with it, but it's finally where I want it (for the moment) and I've done some modding along the way.

I've posted some guides which i've put together (both MR16 and CFL mods) and am hoping to share my experiences with other edge owners!

I'm a Science teacher and when I go back after the summer hols, I'll be setting up either the Interpet Fish Pod 64L or the FishRFun 72L in my classroom - both to relax me and to get some of the kids into the hobby and also learn a bit of responsibility. Don't worry though, I'll be the main keeper and be overseeing it, so it won't be left to the pupils just to get on with!

hopefully, there'll be some friendly fish lovers to help me on my way!

Welcome to our forum Sean.
We always have a place for enthusiastic fish keepers. I wish you luck in getting those crumb gobblers involved in the hobby. My own grandchildren are happy to get some of granddad's fish but I doubt they are really ready to get into the hobby. They do take great pride in getting their hands on fish that none of their class-mates have ever even heard of but that is pride, not a hobbyist's perspective. Maybe some day I will be proven to have really gotten them excited about the hobby, but I have my doubts. All we can really do is expose people, including children, to the joy of keeping fish and hope they will take advantage of that exposure to go on to move forward in the hobby.
