When I added my hermit I also added about 100 different sized shells to the back of the tank so they had something to upgrade into. But this little guy had ideas above his station.. a bit like moving into an 8 bed mansion when all you reall need is a 3 bed semi..PMSL..

Its really interesting to watch them going through the pile of shells trying to choose another one I watched one last night that tried on 3 or 4 before finally deciding on his no residence... all very cute indeed I'm Hooked!! aand yes I do need to get a life..lol

I have a lot of small shells collected from various excursions around the place, which I intend to boil specifically for the purpose you've mentioned
I wasn't sure if I could utilise the ones with the longish openings rather than the shells with roundish holes. But your hermits dont seem to mind.
How are they getting along with the snails
