i used an ich treatment, and it stained my silicon blue...which means it leaches out tiny bits of copper...thats no good for snails...so now ive got to be careful what i put in my tank, no snails, no shrimps....all could have been avoided if id have researched treating ich with temp..

Ah oh well that's the way it goes.
All these meds seem to stain blue so do they all contain copper I wonder?
In fact they could be all the same thing labelled up differently lol

the one i used was waterlife protozin...ive never used any other treatments, other than ammo lock when acclimating fish...so i dunno im new to this game...i now realise i shouldnt really have used a full dose with the cory in there either

Thank you for the update.
You don't need to buy alot of medications. I only ever kept whitespot med, and bacterial medications in stock.
Best to isolate new fish to stop disease entering the main tank.

Well after weeks of waiting and treatment all seems fine now,the golden platy has been cured !
I will get her a male soon
