FE, thanks sooo much, that's awesome info! Will definetely do. Great help :D :D Especially all the products, I'm sure I'll find one of those.

Looks like you've already gotten the advice you need, so I'll just wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes :)

Awww thx so much Synirr, I bet he'll get better soon, tomorrow I'm running to the lps and getting whatever I can. I'll let you guys know!

Alrighty I went and bought this stuff... Ick cure, other than aquarisol that's all they had, because for aquarisol you have to raise the temperature and for this stuff you don't have to. I guess it's sposed to take 2 days, but we'll treat him a bit longer than that. Let's hope for a speedy recovery! Btw, the stuff makes the water all blue... and he seemed to slow down and just lie there... hopefully he will be alright.

thanks wuv, we hope so too, but he is moving around etc and we did add some salt and will every time we change the water now.

Even though it says it works in 2 days, I will guarantee it doesn't. I have used Ick Cure before too. I don't remember it completely working, but I wasn't using it on bettas. Keep treating per instructions for at least 3 days after the last spot falls off your boy.

Keep us updated. I am rooting for him.

FE- I was planning on giving it more time. He is in something smaller than a gal and it says 1 drop per gal... it's kind of hard to get half a drop or 3/4 of a drop, so hopefully this isn't an overdose. He seems to be doing fine so far. Hopefully it will work. Thanks for rooting ;)

Yay, I think the fishie is getting better! That ick cure stuff is working so far. Let's keep the fingers crossed. We've put it in 2 days now and will soon be doing a water change. The fishie lost a lot of the parasites, but there are still a few on him, let's hope they go away, but I think the worst is over :D

That's awesome. I hope he keeps up his speedy recovery. Glad to hear he is making progress!! Continued goodluck!

Alrighty we're on our way to a good recovery I think. The ick is basically off the fish's scales and body but there are still some stuck in his fins, is that normal? He's been on the stuff for 4 days now.

Sounds normal to me. What temp is the tank at? The lower the temp, the longer it will take for spots to fall off. I am treating my CT for velvet right now(I have no idea how he got it, he is the ONLY fish out of many that has it). I have been treating for 4 days as well, and he is starting to look a lot better.

I would keep treating for at least three days after the last spot falls off. That way you know for sure that the ich is gone. I would also keep up with the water changes. That way you know you are ridding the tank of spores that may have just fallen off the fish.

Good luck.

Thanks so much FE, this ickcure stuff is not meant to go for warm temperatures. The temp in his tank is probably 75-79 F or so. It's off his body just not off his fins yet so we're going to keep treating it.
