Hello, Im writting for my sister, so my knowledge is limited, she lives out of town. So ill start by giving the tank spec's.

the tank has been set up for Id say two(2) years, it's a 55gallon with a good amount of liverock which are still healthy featherduster growing well, One pump, and powerhead with sponge, temp 77.

she started with two nemo's, then the sponge fell off and one died by the powerhead.

so then she got this so called fish specialst in town to order more fish for her. he orders his fish from the phillipines, they got sent too the wrong airport and spent the night in toronto, the yellow tang died in shipping. I told my sister not too accept the fish because of the delayed shipping, Because I know saltwaterfish are sensitive and are probably all sick. the guy somehow got them in her tank. and now the new nemo died, two blue damsels died, and now one of her anthias has some red looking scratch, she said it looks raw. the anthias is always hiding under the liverock and rarely come out.

sorry this is all the information I have. Anybody got any suggestions, on what may be wrong with the anthias

thank you

I'd start by not buying anything else from that guy
He should have the fish looking healthy in his own tanks before removing and passing on to her.
Has she got any water test kits?
Nitrate, Phosphate, Amonia, PH, etc, If not tell her to bring a sample to her lfs for testing

well it ended up dying. I think this guy just made a big problem for her. from what i,ve heard about him, i wouldnt trust him if i still had tanks. he only qaurntines for a few hours or a day, which imo is not long enough.. My sister also mentioned white stringy feces from one of the new fish, probably intestinal flaggelates(not sure if saltwater fish get it aswell)..... well anyways, I told her not too acept anyfish from him, I will do the ordering and care for her for now...

oh and he also dosent acclimatize the fish, just dumps them in the tank....cant belive this guy
