Help With New Tank Please 5 X 2 X 2

Hi All

Im About to start getting a new tank sorted and accessories for when i move house. I want a 5 x 2 x 2 and run a sump.I have some spare 2ft 3ft and 4ft tanks so will turn one of them in to a sump once i come across a design.I have been in contact with nd aquatics about ordering my new tank and questioned them if they can drill some holes.They come back with they can drill holes sizes 28mm, 34mm, 45mm, 51mm, 55mm, 64mm.
Now the problem is i dont have a clue what size holes i need. I been advised to try get a pump that does 4500lph but i dont know what size the water outlets would be so i have the right pipe and holes drilled.

Any advise on any of this would be much appreciated

I wish I had experience in a tank that big, but I don't, the best I can do is to resurrect your thread to the top of the forum for someone familiar to give their best estimate.

i would say around 3/4 inch, where i work we sell pond pumps that do 4500lph and they come with 3/4 inch hose.

thats great help . Do you think the over flow will be the same or make it bigger. All i need to do then is find a sump design which i cant find anywhere unless its for a marine
