We’ve gone about a year without a single fish death. About 2 weeks ago this guppy had babies and she had been doing fine. 5 days ago we found a dead male guppy. Last night we looked at the tank and saw the mother fish like this. It was very sudden, now she has a white spot on her back fin. I can’t tell if it’s sickness or from other fish messing with her over night. Any ideas?
It’s a 33 gallon tank, 78-80 degrees, ph 7.4, high ph 7.6, ammonia 0, nitrite 0 nitrate60ppm. We did a 30% water change 8 days ago and usually go 7-10 days with 30%. Thanks so much!
I feel like she has swim bladder disease, but I can’t tell what caused it. Could she have picked “something” up from the dead male? -John
