HELP tora looks like he is going to explode

he has started been sick this morning and just throwing up little clouds of white stuff we tried a salt bath yesturday but still nothing, i think i may lose him

that could be the salt i would just starve him for three days it wont hert him he is young and his belly will swell when he eats imagine itsas big as his eye so one decent sized bloodworm will fill it....

his scales have now spiked out so i'm assuming it's dropsy, and my lfs don't sell Maracyn 2, is there anything else i can use

get some photographs from the top of him and side......

constipation is proberbly the best guess feed him a shelled pea and ive hard daphnia can help.........but if that dont work it could be dropsy,sometimes the scales dont stick out but it coukd still be it! good luck

No you should cut up some peas and feed it to his. this is because something is clogged this happend to my fish to.

from the picture he looks OK no pine-cone scales as i can see,as it would be from the tail to head, i would just starve him and stop treating him with all these remedies a little salt in his water wont hurt as that will help with water exchange(osmosis) has he been pooping at all, with all the treatments can be stressing him out.......keep us informed......

i had the same problem once, tried pea, wouldn't eat it, userally if u starve em they will starte pooping again.

Yeah I know... if someone who doesn't keep fish, like my parents, walked in and saw me typing 'It's good that he's pooping!' they would send me to a phychiatrist.

tora is looking loads better today have got him sitting on top of light hood to keep him warmer and have added an air stone with the bubbles on low, he is hardly bloated at all now and got all his colour back but still looks abit spikey will keep you posted
