hi i have a 110 litre tank with an internal filter and was wondering if this was ok to keep malawi's in if so what and how many could i keep the friendlier the better however i do like colour any suggestions

Shellies (shell dwellers) only really. (Tanganyikans)

Tank/filtration way too small for Malawi's

yeah Malawis need a cleaner water i use a large stingray filter which isnt the best however i also use my sump as my tank was originally marine and stuff it with poly wool and that gets it crystal but anything less and its brown water time :)

nice one cheers one more thing a mate of mine has given me a protien skimmer from his old marine set up could i use that to help things i'm new to this and any tips on keepin cichlids would be mint

If you want to keep Malawi you really need to be looking at a minimum size of 200-240L plus fort he tank and a good filtration system i.e external filter or 2 :good:

The tank size you have now, as doresy says you could keep some Tangs but you wouldn`t be able to have many
