HELP NEEDED *Pics of poorly Betta attached*

I just did a search on tropical fish + prolapse and didn't come up with any remedy or treatment. I did find a lot of dog treatments though

not trying to be funny , but I wonder if it is a hernia of some sort or maybe hemoroids (sp) or maybe constipation maybe pushed intestines out......hope someone knows.

the thought about intestines came across me but i didn't think it'll try to poop intestines out

Yeah, after reading the post I was thinking ... what the hell is prolapse?! Of course, naturally I tried doing a search on it and only found it for humans and other mammals...

Poor fishy...

I hope you find something out soon!

It sounds to me as though it could be anchorworm or another parasite, reading through all the fishy books i got. I mentioned the stringy bits... can just see them in the pics if you look close, i reckon these could be anchorworm but having never seen it before first hand im not sure. So i will pick up the appropriate med tomorrow. Might try a pea now if i can find some in the frezer.

Still open to suggestions mind.

Sadly spot passed away in the ealry hours of this morning. I awoke to find him lying on his side in the bottom of his tank looking peaceful and as beautiful as ever.

Gutted!!
