Help needed in reducing Nitrate (N03)

I would do a 25% water change. dont feed anything for a week and introduce the cleanup crew. this should reduce the nitrates further. if your nitrates are still high then get a 2nd opinion and take the water to your lfs and get it tested or try a different brand name of test kit.
The liverock "should" be reducing nitrates for you, perhaps the introduction of some macro algae will help reduce it further but i would wait for this until you try the other suggestions first.

just running some ro water off now i,ll mix it up and do a change then the weekend i,ll get a cleanup crew to try and sort out the algea.

What shall i get as my cleanup crew?

cleanup crew needs to be at a ratio of 1 per gallon of tank. Not all at once as this can be costly. i would try to aim for 2/3 snails to hermits that hs is just my own personal preferance

my tank is a 40 uk gallon which is approx 50 us gallon
