Not having a dig, just letting you know that the answer more than likely lies in your readings
also is the lighting going to be addiquate for corals etc? got to try and cram 4 T5's under the hood
I'd like to have a couple of clowns and an anemone eventually

No just making sure you didnt think I was taking the p***
Yes it is pitifully inadequate for the tank size, its a 3 foot, No idea of the weight buy its very light compared to the other live rock I've seen, I've have just added another 3kg, Because it had a nice mushroom on it. And we will be adding more live rock.
Spoke to soon, another one comming off and have netted the other ones down, Also i went on a late night hunt in the aquarium, I popped in some chicken and spotted 3 Fire worms and a weird looking bug, could do with that hitch hikers link. I also saw a worm with a really mean looking head with antenna's, And guess what, It lives in the mushroom rock.
Could this be my problem.
All the Best.
be careful adding more live rock to that while your corals are in there, you could see ammonia spikes due to the new rock going through a die off, almost like a mini-cycle...
