I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure!
As Bud has already told you, politely, it is cruel to dump a damsel in a cycling tank - take the fish back whislt it is not suffering.
Your water stats may well be ok NOW, but they will not be soon, you will get a massive ammonia spike which will cause the fish an enormous amount of stress. The 'drop a damsel in the tank to cycle' is an outdated method of cycling which is both cruel and totally unnecessary
May I suggest you find yourself a fish shop that knows what they are talking about
